Walking on top of deep snow as the afternoon slips into darkness, with the city lights of Tromsø twinkling in the distance. Around you, it’s almost complete silence — broken only by footsteps in the snow, steady breathing, and the excited barks of the dogs joining the hike.
Experiencing the Arctic in the dark is completely different. Quieter, deeper, and full of its own kind of magic.
- Welcome to Tromsø Villmarkssenter, handing out the thermal suits and boots, and snowshoes.
- 2 hours guided snowshoe hike enjoying beautiful views of the Kvaløya island and twinkling lights of Tromsø city in the distance. You will also have a husky (or two!) joining you on the trip.
- Guided tour for cuddling and learning about our dogs in our dog yard of 200 Alaskan Huskies.
- A lovely snack around the open fire in our cozy Gamme-hut; Hot drinks and our “world-famous” chocolate cake.
