Step aboard our charming classic Norwegian boat, Capella, and experience the Arctic in winter from the water. This relaxing cruise takes you through the snow-covered fjords surrounding Tromsø, combining spectacular winter scenery, local history, wildlife, and the opportunity to try traditional deep-sea fishing.
Winter is one of the best times to experience the fjords around Tromsø, with snow-covered mountains, crisp Arctic air, and peaceful landscapes that can only be seen during the colder months.
Leaving Tromsø behind, we’ll cruise towards the island of Ryøya, passing dramatic snow-capped mountains, quiet bays, and small fishing communities along the way. As we continue into Ramfjord, you’ll experience some of the region’s most breathtaking winter landscapes while learning about life on the Norwegian coast and the fishing traditions that have shaped it for generations.
Throughout the journey, keep an eye out for white-tailed eagles, seabirds, seals, and other wildlife often spotted in these waters. We’ll also stop at carefully selected fishing grounds, where you’ll have the chance to try traditional deep-sea fishing in the same fjords that local fishermen have relied on for centuries.
Back on board, we’ll prepare the day’s catch whenever possible, together with other local fish, and serve it alongside snacks and hot drinks in the warm, cozy atmosphere of Capella as you watch the Arctic winter landscape drift by.
